What is Google Pomelli?
Pomelli is a free AI-powered marketing tool created by Google Labs and Google DeepMind, launched on October 28, 2025. It's specifically designed to help small business owners, solopreneurs, and content creators produce professional, on-brand marketing content — without needing a designer, an agency, or a big budget.
The magic behind Pomelli is something called Business DNA. You simply enter your website URL, and Pomelli scans it — analysing your colours, fonts, images, tone of voice, and messaging — then builds a complete brand profile automatically. Every piece of content it generates from that point on is rooted in your actual brand identity.
Hiring a designer or agency to produce consistent social media content can cost hundreds or thousands a month. Pomelli puts the same quality — automatically branded and ready to post — into your hands for free.
As of March 9, 2026, Google expanded Pomelli from a 4-country pilot to over 170 countries and territories — including India, the UK, all of Europe, and beyond. It's currently completely free while in public beta, with no credit card required and no usage limits on generations.

Step-by-Step Guide
Follow these steps to go from zero to your first published campaign in under 10 minutes.
Go to Pomelli & Sign In
Open your browser and navigate to labs.google.com/pomelli. You'll need a Google account to sign in — no waitlist, no invitation, no credit card required. Just click "Sign in with Google" and you're in.
You must be 18 or older. Pomelli currently supports English only. Available in 170+ countries as of March 2026.

Build Your Business DNA
Click the 🧬 DNA icon in the left sidebar to navigate to "Business DNA". If it's your first time, Pomelli will ask for your website URL. Enter it and click Continue.
Pomelli will now crawl your website — reading your copy, scanning your colours, analysing your images, and understanding your tone of voice. This typically takes 2–8 minutes depending on how large your site is. Don't close the tab!
If you don't have a website yet, you can still use Pomelli. After the initial scan, you can manually edit every section of your Business DNA — brand name, description, colours, fonts, and values — to match your brand perfectly.

Review & Edit Your Business DNA
Once the analysis is done, Pomelli shows you everything it found: your brand name, colour palette, fonts, tone of voice, key images, business overview, and brand values. Don't skip this step — the quality of everything Pomelli generates depends on how accurate your DNA is.
Click on any section to edit it. Pay special attention to your Business Overview — you get roughly 50 words, so make them count. Be specific about who you serve and what makes you different.
Create Your First Campaign
Click the 📣 megaphone icon in the sidebar to go to Campaigns. You'll see a text field that says "Describe the campaign you want to create" — this is where the magic happens.
Type a clear campaign goal. The more specific you are, the better the output. Then hit Enter or click "Suggest Ideas" to let Pomelli propose campaign concepts based on your Business DNA.
Vague: "Make a post about my product"
Good: "Promote my AI automation service to small business owners — drive bookings for a free strategy call"
Pomelli will also show you Suggestions based on your Business DNA — pre-built campaign ideas tailored to your brand. These are great starting points if you're not sure where to begin.
Edit & Download Your Assets
Once your campaign generates, Pomelli produces a set of on-brand marketing assets — typically 8–12 variations across different formats and styles. Browse through them and click any one to open the editor.
Inside the editor, you can:
- Change the text, headline, or CTA using natural language — just type what you want
- Swap the background image or colour
- Change the aspect ratio for different platforms (square, portrait, landscape, Story)
- Regenerate a new variation if you don't like the result
- Download as PNG or JPG when you're happy
Use the Photoshoot Feature (Bonus)
Click the 🖼️ image icon in the sidebar to access Photoshoot — Pomelli's newest feature (launched February 2026). It gives you two powerful options:
- Create a product photoshoot — Upload a product photo, choose a template or scene, and Pomelli places your product in a professional studio setting using Google's Nano Banana 2 AI model.
- Generate or edit an image — Describe an image in plain language, or upload an existing one and ask Pomelli to modify it.

Perfect Your Business DNA First
Don't rush past the DNA review. Spend 10 minutes editing your Business Overview, removing any images that don't represent your brand, and correcting colours. Every campaign you ever generate flows from this foundation.
Write Specific, Detailed Prompts
Instead of "make a post about my service", try: "Promote my AI automation consultancy to e-commerce business owners who are spending too much time on repetitive tasks."
Batch Create a Month of Content
Sit down once a month and generate 30+ assets in one session. Plan your content themes in advance (product launches, seasonal events, tips, testimonials).
Use "Suggest Ideas" as a Creative Jumpstart
Stuck on what to post? Hit the Suggest Ideas button and browse the auto-generated campaign suggestions.
